Croatian capital is situated in the heart of Europe which makes it a great starting point to visit the rest of the country and also some other European capitals like: Vienna, Budapest, Ljubljana, Beograd or Sarajevo. It is a U-shaped sequence of seven squares with parks: Zrinjevac, King Tomislav Square, Ante Starčević Square, King Petar Svačić Square, Botanical Garden, Marulić Square and two more squares inside the horseshoe, Mažuranić Square and Republic Square. Certainly an essential part where you need to take a walk during your visit to Zagreb. By the First World War, new types of houses and rectangular building blocks, railroads and even barracks had sprung up affected by contemporary culture and previous political regimes.
